The inspiration for this garden was the beach-scapes of New England. I used beige pea gravel to evoke sand and the clients had built a beautiful home and boardwalk out of cedar. The structure for this garden is provided by bayberries and rugosa roses. Airy grasses catch the wind and milkweed attracts monarchs. This garden feels wispy and natural as perennials are encouraged to spread.
